Being immersed in water in a public setting is not just an empty ritual, it’s a way for us to show that we’re recognizing the sacrifice that Jesus made, that we believe He rose again, and that we’re uniting with Jesus from this day forward. The Bible says this: “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism.
