This week we are focusing on Matthew 14, where Jesus performs the miracle of feeding the 5,000. The message begins with the idea that followers of Jesus must approach Him with a posture of humility, recognizing that He is holy and beyond human understanding.

Jesus’s ministry undergoes a transformation following the death of John the Baptist. The miracle of the loaves and fishes serves as a lesson for the disciples, demonstrating that God’s resources and compassion are limitless. Jesus asked the disciples to feed the crowd, showing that they must rely on Him for provision and that their understanding of reality should expand beyond worldly limitations. Shortly after the feeding of the 5,000 we see the miracle of Jesus walking on water. Then Peter steps out of the boat and his faith is tested, but ultimately his trust in Jesus prevails, which serves as an example to all believers to trust in Jesus no matter the circumstances.
