Baptism
What does it mean to be baptized? In simple terms, here it is: Jesus died for us, and was raised from the dead. Being immersed in water in a public setting is not just an empty ritual, it’s a way for us to show that we’re recognizing the sacrifice that Jesus made, that we believe He rose again, and that we’re uniting with Jesus from this day forward. The Bible says this:
“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Romans 6:4 (NLT)
