Who We Are

Who is West Valley?

Well, it’s pretty simple – West Valley is a church committed to knowing Jesus. Why is that important? Because knowing Jesus changes everything, and we mean literally everything. Following him is the single most revolutionary decision we can ever make with our lives. That decision means a journey that redefines how we view ourselves, our relationships with our families and communities, our ambitions, the ups and downs in life, and what it means to know God at all. West Valley is a community where we can be real with each other; dedicated to being open, honest, encouraging, and caring in our interactions. Everyone is welcome here, no matter your story, your past, your questions, doubts or struggles.

It can be easy to define a church as a building, a bunch of rituals, a way to check things off our spiritual checklist, or a place where people pretend to know it all. We don’t pretend to have all the answers, not by a long shot, but we do believe in a God who does. We’re all about Jesus, because we’ve seen and experienced the kind of life that only He can give. It’s our goal to be a community of people honestly encountering God and making His love and hope part of our daily lives.

We believe the Church is at its best when it serves, when it sacrifices, and when it loves, simply caring about the things God cares about. That’s why investing in our community and the lives of those who live around us is a huge deal to us. We’re about people because God is about people, and Jesus brings us together.

If you’re looking for a place to investigate God more, or you already consider yourself a follower of Jesus and you’re new to the area, we’d love to meet you. And by the way, we’re not looking to sell you on our church. It’s not about what we have or what we can do, it’s about Jesus, and it’s about diving into this life-changing relationship together. So please, look around our website, come hang out with us on a Sunday morning or at any of our events, listen to some messages, and check out any of our resources. And if you have any questions, or anything on your mind at all, please use any of the ways you find on this site to get in touch. That’s why we’re here!
